While interning with Columbia Business Times, I posted on its Twitter and Facebook pages. I also developed a posting schedule to build a consistent online presence for CBT. Below are a few examples of my posts:
One of my biggest goals was to make sure that CBT was posting regularly. I developed a schedule of 3 posts per day at 8 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. These were the times that the staff had indicated that CBT's audience was most active. Not only did I want its audience to see it as reliable, wanted to give CBT a distinct voice, as well as humanize the brand.
During this time, I also developed a social-media-based giveaway concept for CBT, or any of its partner magazines, to use. I researched lottery law, found examples of successful giveaways and wrote a final proposal for my editor.
